The Issues

Public Infrastructure

Conducting a tour of damage to Fairfax-Bolinas Road with Congressman Jared Huffman, Supervisor Katie Rice, and representatives from Marin Water, Marin County Fire, Marin’s Office of Emergency Management, and Marin County Department of Public Works.

Fairfax deserves a forward-thinking, sustainable approach to infrastructure that enhances our quality of life. I’m committed to building on my results over the last four years in improving conditions of Fairfax's roads, sidewalks, and bike paths to enable pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers to safely and easily get around town. We must continue to invest in community buildings and parks so they're in good shape for all of us to use and enjoy. I aim to upgrade our town's technology to make it simpler to access local services online. To do all this without breaking the bank, I'll continue to team up with other towns and agencies to bring in money from regional and federal grants, ensuring that Fairfax can build a stronger, more connected community that we'll all benefit from.

Affordable Housing

Receiving a Special Recognition award for my efforts to keep working families in their homes at North Bay Labor Council’s Annual COPE Gala in 2023.

Fairfax is a vibrant community that should be accessible to people from all walks of life. I am committed to addressing our town's housing affordability challenges while preserving the unique small-town look and feel and natural beauty that make Fairfax special. My vision for affordable housing in Fairfax balances the need for more creative housing options by supporting responsible “affordable-by-design,” transit-oriented development, preserving naturally occurring affordable housing, protecting our friends and neighbors in rental housing from discrimination and arbitrary evictions, and continuing to develop strategies to prevent and address homelessness with our County partners.

    • Secured $4 million to preserve our largest apartment complex, the 80-unit Sherwood Oaks, as permanent affordable housing

    • Served on the Town's subcommittee to develop a State-certified housing element to plan for new affordable housing in Fairfax

    • Strengthened tenant protections to keep our neighbors housed
